Clarity for Donor Cultivation

In late 2020, a cross-section of Kingdom Workers staff—mostly from the fundraising team—was meeting regularly to determine what to do about a number of in-person donor visits that were unable to be completed that year. They were twisting themselves in knots.

When I was asked to join the group and lead them to a solution, I started with the first step I always begin with: asking questions and listening closely. Sometimes it can be tempting to assume we know the problem and jump to a solution. But if you slow down, use the tools available, and avoid overcomplicating the strategy, what often results is a simple solution that just makes sense—and works!
